We asked our brokers: What’s ahead in 2025, and is it better to buy or rent?
The end of every year and the start of a new one prompts a collective curiosity about what lies ahead — and the world of real estate is no different. Glasshouse co-brokers Mo Zahedi and Kunal Patel forecast what to expect with real estate in 2025, from interest rates and market competition to alternative loan options like the Ohio Homebuyer Plus savings program. Women’s Council of Realtors, Dayton chapter, sees consecutive Glasshouse leadership
Congratulations to Glasshouse agent Lori Lyons, who was installed as president of the 2025 Governing Board for the Women's Council of Realtors (WCR) Dayton chapter! In the year ahead, Lyons will lead WCR in its “Lift as We Climb” mission to build an inclusive community that empowers women real estate professionals to realize their highest potential. “By lifting each other, we strengthen not only our careers but also the real estate industry as a whole,” said Lyons. “Whether through networking, educational programs, or leadership opportunities, we aim to ensure that no one has to climb alone.” It was a proud moment for our Glasshouse family to see this important leadership position transition from Elizabeth Cooper, WCR past president and fellow Glasshouse agent. “It was an honor to serve as the Women’s Council of Realtors president and support our mission of promoting women in leadership,” said Cooper. “The best part of my experience was completely unexpected — creating a life-long bond and friendship with Lori Lyons, our 2025 President. She’s one of the smartest, most amazing humans I know. As an organization we are fortunate to have her leadership and vision.” We look forward to seeing the impact WCR will have in the year to come!

Dayton REALTORS® recognizes VP of Commercial Real Estate with Commercial Service Award
Congratulations to Tom Kretz, our vice president of commercial real estate, who received the Commercial Service Award from Dayton REALTORS this month. The Commercial Service award program recognizes a Commercial salesperson for going above and beyond in our industry and community to make a difference. Kretz came to Glasshouse in August 2024 after finalizing the sale of his co-ownership stake in Irongate Inc. Realtors, which is the second largest brokerage in the Dayton area. At Irongate, Kretz developed and managed all aspects of the commercial division, growing the annual commercial real estate transaction volume by a staggering 1,500% in less than three years. After Kretz joined the team, the Glasshouse Commercial Division closed a $2.3 million sale on a 60-plus-acre slate of land near the Lewis A. Jackson Regional Airport.
